Dr. Charity Mutegi is a food scientist by training, with a bias towards food safety in crop and animal produce and products. She currently works as a consultant in food safety, and food loss management, where her expertise stretches technical aspects, policy and law making. Through USDA-FAEA support, she has been able to facilitate the review of Kenya's food safety Policy and development of a food safety law. She has also developed training material for aflatoxin management in nuts and spices in Kenya through the EU supported programs.
